TICKETS & SEATING INFORMATION

Find Your Perfect Seat!

Whether you're looking for an affordable night at the theatre or the best seat in the house, Royal City Musical Theatre offers a variety of seating options to suit different preferences and budgets.

Inspired by the spirit of the original 1899 Newsboys' Strike, we're offering tickets starting at just $18.99, with several seating zones to choose from!

KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK: OUR SEATING ZONES

ZONE D | $18.99

Carry the banner without breaking the bank! Our Zone D seats are located in the first two rows, right up close to the action. These are our most affordable tickets, but there are a few things to keep in mind before booking. Because of their proximity to the stage, you'll be looking up at much of the performance, and the orchestra will sound noticeably louder and different from other areas of the theatre. These seats have a restricted viewing experience and are best suited to those who don't mind being right in the thick of things.

ZONE C | $39

Our Zone C seats are located in the next three rows behind Zone D. You'll still be close to the stage and the performers, but these seats may have some sightline limitations, and the proximity to the orchestra means the band may sound louder than in other areas of the auditorium.

ZONE B

Our standard seating option offers a comfortable theatre experience, with a variety of views throughout the auditorium, including seats slightly off-centre and towards the sides.

ZONE A

Looking for the best all-around theatre experience? Zone A features our centre orchestra seating, offering excellent sightlines and a balanced sound experience. These are some of the best seats in the house!

ZONE A+

Want to take it up another notch? Zone A+ features our premium centre orchestra aisle seats. Enjoy some of the best views and sound in the theatre, with the added convenience of an aisle seat.

DEMAND-BASED PRICING: WHY BOOK EARLY?

Royal City Musical Theatre uses demand-based ticket pricing. This means ticket prices in certain seating zones may increase as performances fill up and available seats become limited.

Booking early gives you the best selection of seats and the opportunity to secure tickets at current prices.

But we also believe that live theatre should remain accessible to everyone. That's why we guarantee that our most affordable seating options will never increase in price:

  • Zone D will always be $18.99.

  • Zone C will always be $39.

These prices are guaranteed for every performance, regardless of demand. We want everyone to have the opportunity to experience live theatre, whatever their budget.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Wheelchair-accessible seating is located at the back of the Massey Theatre auditorium. These seats are part of our Zone A seating area but are offered at a specially reduced price to help make theatre more accessible.

Wheelchair-accessible tickets must be purchased directly through the Ticketpro box office by phone at 1-888-655-9090. The team will be happy to assist you with your booking.

YOUR TICKET MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Royal City Musical Theatre is a registered not-for-profit charitable organization and a community-based, semi-professional theatre company. We bring together a talented mix of volunteers, professional artists, union members and paid staff to create exceptional theatrical experiences while providing opportunities for training, growth and participation for artists of all ages.

We couldn't do it without you!

The majority of our annual operating budget comes directly from ticket sales. Every ticket purchased helps us bring productions like Disney's Newsies to the stage and continue creating opportunities for artists and audiences in our community.

Thank you for supporting local theatre, and especially for booking early. Your support makes a real difference!
